Caramelized Leek and Mushroom Gruyere Pasta

A delicious and comforting pasta dish featuring caramelized leeks, savory mushrooms, and rich Gruyere cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 leeks, cleaned and sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 12 ounces pasta of your choice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add leeks and sauté until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add mushrooms and garlic; cook until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add pasta to the skillet and mix with the sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in Gruyere cheese until melted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can add a splash of white wine to the mushroom mixture.
  • Feel free to substitute with other cheeses if Gruyere is not available.
