Cheesecake Brownies

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter into a greased baking pan.
  6. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
  8. Top with the remaining brownie batter and swirl gently with a knife.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add chocolate chips into the brownie batter.
  • Serve with whipped cream for extra indulgence.
