  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and espresso powder; mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set but centers are still soft.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
