  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then fold in the milk chocolate chips.
  5. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
  7. Top with crushed peppermint candies for garnish.
