  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream to the batter.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with sugar.
  10. Let them cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a crispy topping, use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar after the cookies have cooled.
