  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, vanilla, nutmeg, and eggnog, then mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Form the dough into balls and roll them in powdered sugar before placing them on the baking sheet.
  7. Create an indentation in the center of each ball with your thumb.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
