- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add softened butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the batter in the baking dish.
- Spread the remaining batter on top and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool, then prepare the glaze by whisking the powdered sugar and milk together and drizzle over the bars before serving.
