  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar with cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Fill muffin cups halfway with batter, sprinkle with the cinnamon filling, then cover with more batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. For frosting, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Allow muffins to cool before drizzling frosting on top.
