Creamy Garlic Parmesan Orzo

A rich and creamy orzo dish flavored with garlic, Parmesan cheese, turkey bacon, and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 100 grams chicken ham
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the orzo and stir to coat with oil.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer until orzo is cooked.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  6. Chop the turkey bacon and chicken ham, then fold them into the orzo. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the turkey bacon and chicken ham.
  • This dish can be served as a side or main course.
