  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vanilla custard
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt, alternating with milk until the batter is smooth.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let the cupcakes cool completely before filling with vanilla custard.
  8. Top each cupcake with chocolate ganache.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, you can sprinkle some chopped nuts on top of the ganache.
  • These cupcakes can be made a day in advance; just store them in an airtight container.
