- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 pie crust (top and bottom)
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery; cook until soft.
- Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add chicken, peas, carrots, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
- Place bottom pie crust in a pie dish. Fill with chicken mixture. Cover with top pie crust and seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
