Easy SIDE DISHES : Parmesan Garlic Orzo

A deliciously creamy side dish featuring orzo cooked with garlic, parmesan, and crispy turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  2. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels, then chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add orzo and toast for about 2 minutes.
  5. Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until orzo is tender.
  6. Stir in parmesan, black pepper, and chopped bacon. Mix well.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use more parmesan cheese.
  • This dish can be made ahead and reheated for quick meals.
