French Onion Butter Rice

A savory and comforting dish that combines the flavors of French onion soup with buttery rice and crispy turkey bacon.

  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add butter and sliced onions, sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add rice to the pan and stir for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in beef broth and garlic powder. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
  5. Simmer for 18-20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  6. Fluff rice with a fork and mix in the crispy turkey bacon. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with additional onions if desired.
