  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and granulated sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until combined.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with melted butter. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into equal pieces.
  7. Place the rolls in the baking dish and let them rise for about 20 minutes.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. While baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until smooth.
  10. Spread the frosting over the warm rolls before serving.
