  • 100 grams sourdough starter

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the bread flour and water until combined. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Add the sourdough starter and salt, then knead the dough until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise at room temperature for 4-6 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Shape the dough into a round and place it in a floured proofing basket. Let it rise for another 2 hours.
  5. Preheat your oven to 230°C (450°F) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
  6. Carefully place the dough into the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.

  • Make sure to feed your sourdough starter 8 hours before using it.
