  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.
  6. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool completely before frosting with buttercream.
