Maple Whiskey Sour

A delightful twist on the classic whiskey sour with the sweetness of maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces whiskey
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce maple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce egg white (optional)
  • ice
  • lemon twist for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a shaker, combine the whiskey, lemon juice, maple syrup, and egg white (if using).
  2. Dry shake (without ice) for about 10 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
  3. Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for another 10-15 seconds.
  4. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup.
  • This drink can be served straight up without ice for a different presentation.
