- 4 pieces chicken thighs
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add chicken to the skillet and sear until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Add rice to the skillet, followed by chicken broth, honey, and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine.
- Place the chicken back on top of the rice mixture.
- Cover with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
