One Pan Bold Honey BBQ Chicken Rice

An easy and delicious one-pan recipe for bold honey BBQ chicken rice that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Add chicken to the skillet and sear until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Add rice to the skillet, followed by chicken broth, honey, and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine.
  7. Place the chicken back on top of the rice mixture.
  8. Cover with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate chicken in BBQ sauce for an hour before cooking.
