  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 10 Oreo cookies, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, and mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  6. Divide the batter into the cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  7. Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
  8. For the frosting, whip butter until light and fluffy, then gradually add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and crushed Oreos until desired consistency is achieved.
  9. Frost the cooled cupcakes generously with the Oreo frosting.
