  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 8 Oreo cookies, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the oil, egg, vanilla extract, and buttermilk. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the crushed Oreos.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before frosting.
