Philly Cheesesteak Mac & Cheese

A delicious and indulgent take on classic comfort food, combining Philly cheesesteak flavors with creamy mac and cheese.

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers, sautéing until softened.
  3. Add the beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
  4. In a separate pot, melt butter and whisk in flour, garlic powder, and black pepper, cooking for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add milk, stirring until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted.
  7. Combine cooked macaroni, beef mixture, and cheese sauce in a large bowl. Mix well.
  8. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

  • Feel free to add extra spices like paprika for more flavor.
