- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- coarse salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the flour and salt to the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
- Roll out dough and wrap it around the turkey bacon.
- Prepare a baking soda bath and dip each wrapped dog.
- Place on a baking sheet, brush with egg, and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
