Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in the nuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
