Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, food coloring, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, top with the cream cheese mixture, and then spread the remaining brownie batter on top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
