  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until creamy. Add molasses and egg, and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  5. Form the dough into small balls and place onto baking sheets.
  6. For Thumbprint Cookies, make an indentation in the center of each ball and fill it with chocolate chips.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes and let cool.
