  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the molasses and egg to the creamed mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out the dough and cut it into desired shapes.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until set but not browned.
