  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg yolk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the molasses and egg yolk until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
