Uncle Jack's Mac-and-Cheese

A creamy and indulgent mac-and-cheese enriched with turkey bacon that will satisfy your comfort food cravings.

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package directions.
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour, cooking for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk, then add cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Combine macaroni, cheese sauce, and bacon in a baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
